It's too hot outside. Should I be dog walking?

Always check how hot the ground is outside before walking! If you cannot leave your hand on the ground for more than 5 seconds than no, it is too hot for the dog's sensitive paws! In summer, we recommend taking the dog out during the mornings or evenings to avoid the heat.

If it is a warm day but still okay for walking, it's always best to stick to shaded areas and to carry water with you (for yourself and the pooch), go at a slower pace and continue to check the dog for signs of excessive panting and discomfort.
